Faculty Senate Fund
The Faculty Senate was created by direction of the University Faculty. The University Faculty has legislative powers in all matters pertaining to standards and requirements of admission, registration, earned degrees, curriculum, instruction, research, extracurricular activities, student discipline and educational policies, as well as faculty conduct. Funds designated to the Faculty Senate Fund support this work.
Friends of the University of South Carolina Press
The Friends of USC Press are essential in the mission of the University of South Carolina Press to positively impact the lives of readers and researchers through expertly written, edited and designed print and electronic books published by the Palmetto State's flagship university. Friends gifts assist in underwriting the costs of new and reprinted Press publications, public outreach events, and learning experiences for staff and student volunteers.
South Carolina Collaborative on Race and Reconciliation
The collaborative fosters racial reconciliation and civic renewal through ongoing dialogues on university campuses and in communities requesting assistance with problems and issues of race.
Student Success Center
The Student Success Center empowers students to achieve their academic and personal goals. A gift of $250 helps provide tutoring, skills development and academic goal setting. Your gift supports students as they achieve academic success – the cornerstone of the USC experience.
Richard T. Greener Statue Fund
Richard T. Greener was the first African-American professor at the University of South Carolina, serving during the Reconstruction Era, from 1873 through 1877. Your donation will help the University erect this sculpture at the Thomas Cooper Library.
The Pat Conroy Literary Festival
The annual Pat Conroy Literary Festival is a partnership between the University of South Carolina Press and the USC Beaufort Center for the Arts aimed at honoring the life of the acclaimed writer and at expanding the public’s understanding and appreciation of Southern literature and culture. Gifts to this fund are used to support appearances by writers, artists, editors, publishers, performers and scholars at the festival and to underwrite special programs and events.
Thomas L. Stepp Board of Visitors Scholarship
The Thomas L. Stepp Board of Visitors Scholarship is awarded annually to one incoming freshman from South Carolina who has demonstrated creativity, civic involvement, academic achievement and financial need.
