Complete the non-degree application if you are a college graduate needing additional undergraduate coursework or a visiting/transient student from another institution.
Required Materials
The required materials for non-degree seeking applicants vary by program. When necessary, we may ask for additional transcripts in order to assess your admissibility, academic preparation and potential for success as a student.
Submit the non-degree application and transient student approval form by the deadline for the term you would like to enroll at USC. Submit a nonrefundable $25 application fee on the payment page at the end of the application.
Note: International applicants require a $100 application fee and English proficiency scores, depending on your country of citizenship.

Note: Students who do not meet Columbia degree-seeking admission requirements may not be eligible for non-degree admission. Non-degree students are admitted on a space-available basis and register for available courses after currently enrolled USC degree-seeking students.

After You Apply
After you submit the application, you can check your application status on your USC Admissions Portal. You can also request changes to your application. Once we've made a decision on your application, you will receive an email instructing you to check your portal.
