Sponsored programs that accept only a limited number of proposals from a given institution are known as limited submission programs. At USC, the Office of Research and Grant Development disseminates limited submission opportunities and coordinates with SAM to send the final submission(s) to the sponsor. The Research and Grant Development team works with a committee of faculty members to select the university’s submission(s) through an internal competition process. This helps to ensure the strongest proposal is submitted to the sponsor.
