Doctoral, Law and Medicine Commencement

Select colleges and schools host their own commencement exercises. Candidates of the Graduate School, School of Medicine and School of Law can access ceremony specifics from their respective schools.

Graduate School

Students in the Graduate School must apply for graduation. Those graduating from masters programs participate in the Bachelor's, Master's and Professional Commencement. Those receiving doctoral degrees participate in the doctoral hooding and commencement ceremony held at the Koger Center.

School of Medicine

Students in the School of Medicine must apply for graduation. Spring graduates from the School of Medicine can participate in the School’s May commencement. Candidates graduating at other times of the year can participate in the university’s Fall commencement ceremony.

Joseph F. Rice School of Law

Graduation candidates from the Joseph F. Rice School of Law must apply for graduation. Spring graduates from the Joseph F. Rice School of Law can participate in the School’s May commencement on the historic Horseshoe. Candidates graduating at other times of the year can participate in the university’s Fall commencement ceremony.
