Lydia joined the College of Arts and Sciences in January 2021 as the director of assessment and online learning where she coordinates programming and support for the college’s degree program assessment and online learning initiatives, in addition to overseeing Flinn Hall operations. 

Prior to joining CAS, Lydia worked in the Center for Teaching Excellence as a senior instructional designer, where she worked with faculty in online course design, coordinated the Distributed Learning Working Group, and facilitated various online learning workshops, among other things. Before joining CTE, Lydia coordinated and evaluated the Arnold School of Public Health’s South Carolina Public Health Training Center, which provided online professional development for public health workers and developed the infrastructure for virtual professional development through MySPH. Before going back to grad school, Lydia worked as a public health environmentalist and food safety manager in Mississippi. 

Lydia greatly enjoys supporting people, both professionally and personally. She enjoys teaching and providing training to help others grow and succeed.
