Laboratory Specialist II (Laboratory Manager), Band 4, $37,735 per year. USC Sumter. Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 2 or more years of job related experience. Under limited supervision this position place orders for chemicals and supplies for the Division of Science, Mathematics and Engineering in an ongoing and timely manner. Coordinate annual review and update files of the working inventory. Prepare laboratory materials for laboratory classes. Organize, categorize, and maintain division stockrooms. Work with faculty to provide laboratory and instructional materials. Operate, adjust, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. Serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer and oversee proper waste management and laboratory safety procedures. Supervise student laboratory workers. Work closely with the faculty and Chair of the Division to maintain an ongoing plan of outstanding laboratory and educational standards. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
