The Nutrition minor is available online for students majoring in Public Health, Hospitality, Resort and Tourism Management, Psychology, Sociology and Human Services.
A minor in Nutrition provides specialized education related to the connections between food and health. Nutrition and physical activity are related to chronic disease prevention and management. To effect change, and reduce the burden of chronic disease, the workforce requires knowledge of food and nutrition.
Knowledge gained will complement major coursework and help students stand out to employers and graduate or professional schools. A minor in nutrition provides education to work in specialized areas such as food industry, public health departments, school systems, WIC nutrition programs, healthcare settings, resorts, and corporate and community wellness.
