Success Consultations
SSC Peer Leaders, called Peer Consultants, support study lounge operations -- like free printing, scheduling tutoring appointments, campus resource referrals, and academic/social programming.
Success Consultations are one-on-one appointments with Peer Consultants--the SSC's trained undergraduate leaders who understand firsthand what it is like to be a college student. They are willing to share their personal experiences and their knowledge of campus resources to help you.
If you want to book these appointments, you can talk directly to a Peer Consultant at the Bates House SSC Desk or book one online.
Success Consultation Types:
- Academic Success Consultations: Discuss academic strategies with a Peer Consultant and co-create a plan to maximize your potential for success on topics such as time management, study skills, reading strategies, note taking, and so much more.
- First-Gen Consultations: Discuss success strategies that are tailored to first-generation college students with a Peer Consultant. Strategies can include but are not limited to academic success, money management, involvement, and campus resources.
- Money Management Consultations: Talk with a specially trained peer consultant about basic money managment tasks like financial goal setting, budgeting for study abroad and moving off campus, and building & managing your credit.
