Health Professions Student Loans (Federal)

Students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the College of Pharmacy may be eligible to receive a Health Professions Student Loan. This loan is need based with a fixed interest rate at 5 percent. Loan amounts vary but your loan amount cannot exceed the cost of attendance minus other aid.

Students may apply by completing the Health Profession Student Loan application.  The availability of this loan is based on funding levels. If you are approved, you must submit entrance counseling and a promissory note. See the instructions on the Bursar's Office website.

When your enrollment drops below half-time status, your grace period of twelve months starts. After your grace period, repayment begins and interest accrues. Exit counseling explains your rights and responsibilities and repayment terms of your loan.
