Diba Fallah is an Iranian independent filmmaker and researcher whose work explores the shifting boundaries between fiction and reality. She holds a B.A. in Filmmaking with a concentration in Editing from Soore University and an M.A. in Theatre Acting from Tehran University of Art. She is currently completing her second master’s degree in Media Arts at the University of South Carolina. Her creative and research practice focuses on documentary and independent cinema, particularly hybrid forms that blur the boundaries between actor and character, performance and lived experience. She is interested in the fluidity of identity and in how improvisation can create moments of emotional authenticity within fictional narratives. Her work is deeply influenced by the cinema of Abbas Kiarostami and her interest in philosophy.

Hannah is an artist, graphic designer and educator with over 4 years of post-graduate design and teaching experience. Her work explores intersections of identity, place, and memory, and combines the digital with traditional, often working in textiles and mixed media. Her teaching practice focuses on helping students build confidence in their own voice, creating a safe, accessible learning environment for every artist, and reinforcing the importance of choice and empowerment in the art room.

Ricardo Rodriguez is a photographic artist living and working in Columbia, South Carolina. His work explores fatherhood, family dynamics, post-traumatic stress, and the process of understanding oneself while readjusting to ordinary life after military service. After 12 years of military service, Rodriguez earned a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. He went on to work as a commercial photographer for three years across both the private and public sectors. His ongoing practice also examines the government’s treatment of service members and veterans, particularly the ways in which warfighters can be overlooked or mishandled after serving in conflict.

Mary-Cynthia Chinenye Umeaka has a strong interest in film, digital media, storytelling, and visual culture. Her academic and creative interests focus on digital storytelling, and the ways emerging media technologies are shaping how stories are created and experienced. As a visual creator, she also explores lifestyle, beauty, travel, and educational storytelling across digital platforms. Through her work in Media Arts, Mary-Cynthia hopes to combine her passion for storytelling with new forms of media production and creative expression.

Nora Williams is a fine-art, documentary artist. She explores the complexities of identity, place, and history in the American South. Her work examines themes of resilience, belonging, and social change, often focusing on underrepresented narratives. Williams’ photographs have been exhibited in galleries, including the Elder Gallery of Contemporary Art. Nora has covered stories for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.
