These first courses in the liberal arts and sciences support subsequent study in the program major and in beyond-the-classroom learning activities.
The Carolina Core develops competency in communication, analytical reasoning and problem-solving, scientific literacy, information literacy and the arts. Topics in global citizenship and multicultural understanding as well as values, ethics and social responsibility are explored.
A wide variety of Carolina Core courses are available with new options being added every year. Work closely with your advisor to choose Carolina Core courses that fit best with your major to ensure timely degree completion.
